Synopsis:

Easton Crawford put his modeling career and good looks before his marriage until it was over. Years later, he is finally learning how to be the father his daughter needed him to be. Hes not looking for a new mom for his daughterjust nightly casual hook-ups. When his best friend, Avery, convinces him that a good way to meet a lot of single women is to go on a singles cruise, Easton finds more than just a hook-up when he meets a fellow cruiser, Brooke.

Brooke Bradley has taken care of her younger sister, Bailee, for most of their lives. While their mother was enjoying not being a mother, Brooke became the adult in the household at thirteen. She had always taken care of the people in her life, especially her boyfriend, Jared. If it wasnt for Brooke, Jared wouldnt know how to function throughout the day.

When Brookes best friend, Nicole, gives her a gift of going on a cruise without telling her that its a singles cruise, will Brooke find someone willing to be her constant and finally leave Jared?

Brooke and Easton learn that people are brought into their lives for many reasons. Over time, they find out what those reasons are. Some are to be a temporary acquaintance while others are there for life.

What will Easton do when he meets Brooke and realizes that she is someone that is meant to be in his life forever, especially after Brooke has an unexpected surgery and Easton is scared of losing her forever?

My Review:

I want to start off by saying please do not let the name of this book fool you.... this isn't the story of some tattooed bad boy. It is so much more!!! This is a story of letting go of the leeches in our lives, growing up and moving beyond our past, learning to love and open up to others, overcoming obstacles (some which may be out of control) and leaning on others in our time of need.

While reading the prologue I was disgusted with Easton's behavior but I also wasn't too thrilled with the way Dana was acting either. They both were very immature and only seemed to want the other to suffer. Easton and Dana are currently in the middle of a nasty divorce and their daughter Cheyenne is stuck in the middle. I hated him at one moment and then my heart broke for him at another moment and I just wanted to hold and comfort him. The emotions just in the prologue was enough to keep me reading. I was pulled in immediately wanting to know what was going to happen to Easton.

We are also introduced to Brooke. She is in a dead end relationship with Jared which I don't understand why she just didn't end that night they went out for her birthday. There was obviously something off with him and she deserved so much more than what she was getting with Jared. So, Brooke's friend Nicole decides to take her on a cruise for her birthday present which turns out to be a singles cruise although Brooke isn't single.

Also on this cruise we find Easton and Avery, they are bar owners and Avery has helped Easton with his daughter Cheyenne. Although Easton may not have been the best husband in the past he definitely redeems himself with his qualities of being an amazing father to Cheyenne right now. Everything he does is for her and he puts her needs first. That is how any father/daughter relationship should be.

Easton and Avery meet Brooke and Nicole the first day on the cruise and Nicole and Avery immediately hit it off. They are instantly 'stuck' together which in turn leaves Easton and Brooke to bond. Brooke makes sure it is known that she is in a relationship but the attraction that is between the two is very apparent. They slowly get to know each other between activities they do and late night chats. I loved the chemistry that was between them and how they interacted. Brooke always kept Easton at an arms length though because of Jared back at home. Nicole and Avery on the other hand.... were pretty steamy!

During all of this something was occuring with Brooke that we eventually find out. It is during your time of need you find out who you can really depend on. Who truely loves you and will always be there for you and who was only there in your life temporarily. Maybe Easton was only to help Brooke get her mind off of things for that moment in time or maybe he was there for more....

You definitely need to pick up this book and read it!!! Kimberly Knight did a phenomenal job with Tattooed Dots. It is told from both Easton and Brooke's POVs. You will laugh, cry, fall in love and enjoy the journey as these two characters find their place in life and learn what truely matters to them.
